Here's a look at a few of our regular fundraising events and opportunities:
Each year, Inner-City Arts presents a special benefit art exhibition in support of our mission and programs. This special event affords art lovers from across Los Angeles the opportunity to engage with the work of some of the city's most exciting contemporary artists, all while supporting free access to arts education for underserved youth.
Inner-City Arts has invited many artists over the years to participate in The Artist Invitational. Each artist is in turn asked to invite another artist to exhibit with, whose work they feel deserved greater attention. From the generation of artists supported by Inner-City Arts, to the artists invited to join them for this exhibition, to the thousands of Los Angeles youth who are served by Inner-City Arts each year; The Artist Invitational is a celebration of the arts community.
Previous years have featured works by: Charles Arnoldi, Billy Al Bengston, Ed Moses, Ed Ruscha, Don Suggs, and many more.
One night each summer, Angelenos descend upon Inner-City Arts, turning our award-winning campus into the creative epicenter of Los Angeles. Art lovers from all over, including young professionals, Downtown residents and our friends from the neighboring Arts District converge at the corner of 7th and Kohler to celebrate the transformational power of creativity.
The event features live music on our rooftop, gourmet food trucks, drinks, open studios, art installations and more. Proceeds from this summer event support the Inner-City Arts' mission and helps provide underserved youth in Los Angeles with access to free arts education.
Past Summer on Seventh events have featured:
The Gaslamp Killer, J Rocc, The Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble, The Internet, Shura, Cut Chemist, Peanut Butter Wolf, DeeLux, dublab and more!
Past Partners & Sponsors:
Spaceland, KCRW, LA Weekly, LA Downtowner, MOCA, The Underground Museum, 826LA, Creative Space, Hauser Wirth & Schimmel, Silverlake Wine, Everson Royce Bar, and more!
The arts and creativity are transformational, and by engaging young people in their own creative process, Inner-City Arts is helping shape a society of creative, confident and collaborative individuals.
The Imagine Awards is Inner-City Arts’ signature fundraising event and all contributions directly support free arts education for underserved youth in Downtown LA. Please join us at the California Science Center in the Samuel Oschin Pavilion under Space Shuttle Endeavour as we celebrate creativity and the transformational power of the arts.
