Marissa Herrera

Marissa Herrera is a native Angeleno with over two decades of experience as a professional in the entertainment industry and Arts Education. She is the CEO/Creator of De Mi Alma Productions with a TV pilot “Two Feet In,” in pre-production. Marissa is also the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of 4C LAB, a non-profit arts organization cultivating young creative visionaries and has traveled internationally as a guest artist and speaker. Feature credits as an actor/dancer include, the 25th Anniversary National Tour of Zoot Suit, Selena Forever National Tour, West Coast regional Premiere of In the Heights, Bones FOX, and various theatre productions in Los Angeles. Choreography credits include Grammy Award winner Macy Gray and an IETL Award for Best Choreography for “In The Heights.” at The Candlelight Pavilion Theater. At Inner-City Arts, Marissa is the Artistic Director of the Inner-City Arts Repertory Dance Company and was the founding teacher of the Institutes Dance program. She is passionate about her work with the students in using dance as a tool for communication and providing a space for students to build ensembles and share their stories through performance to address issues in their communities and world.
