Create Your Future: An Artistic Community Expo

Parents/guardians, students, and educators will learn about the many opportunities available in the creative economy. Professionals from all sectors including art colleges, non-profit organizations, arts/media/entertainment industry professionals, and more will be there to share details about their work and how you can get involved.

  • Students will learn more about preparing for a career as a creative professional and learn how to become paid employees with our Work of Art program.
  • Parents/Guardians will learn how and why supporting youth in fields of creativity and innovation is beneficial to our city and their well-being.
  • Educators and community partners will come together to support youth in exploring opportunities in one of the most fascinating and fulfilling career paths!

 

ACTIVITES

10:00-10:30am | COVID and Registration Check-in

10:30am-12:00pm | Panel Discussion: Listen in as invited arts professionals in creative industries, such as NBCUniversal, WMG, and Arts for LA share points of access to their fields.

12:00-1:30pm | Resource Fair: Meet arts partners from across Los Angeles who provide creative and innovating art experiences for all ages.

12:30-1:10pm | Studio Walkthrough: Explore the spaces where students and community partners tap into creativity, tinkering, and design in our award-winning campus.

12:30-1:10pm | WOA Info Session: Learn what it takes to become a paid intern in our Work of Art College and Career program.

1:30-2:00pm | Wrap Up

 

COVID PROTOCOLS

Guests will need to arrive with a negative PCR COVID test within 1 week of the event. Masks will be required throughout the event. Please check back at this space for any changes in safety requirements. Thank you for helping us to host a safe event for all of our guests!

ABOUT US

Founded in 1989, Inner-City Arts offers a safe, creative space in Los Angeles where more than 200,000 children have been invited to create and explore. Inner-City Arts provides quality arts instruction for students from underserved communities, integrated arts workshops for educators, and programming designed for the community through The Rosenthal Theater.
