Los Angeles by Color is a chromatic visual series started in 2016. Created by Los Angeles artist, designer, and Inner-City Arts’ Lead Designer + Teaching Artist, Media Arts Ashley Margo, part two of the series includes 16 panels (ribbons) totaling 120 feet of digital collage. For the first time the Los Angeles by Color ribbons are in a space together. The color ribbons weave together parts of the city that will never physically be connected, but exist as a spatial embodiment of how color has shaped and connects LA’s landscape.
