The Arts Matter to Jessica

This month, we share and uplift a handful of student voices. These future visionaries and creators speak to how and why the arts matter to their lives, to this community and to our world.

The arts matter to me. I interact with the arts everyday. From doodling, to dancing, graphic design and the violin, the arts surround my life. When engaging with the arts, I feel happy and refreshed.

Art gives me peace and is my sanctuary.

Inner-City Arts offers so much to its students and I enjoy trying new things when I am here. These classes allow me to think outside the box and meet new artistic people who are unique and open to different ideas.

– JESSICA BAUMGART
8th Grade Inner-City Arts Student  |  Graphic Design

The arts matter to Jessica, to her peers and to the future of this city.
